The PTSA awards at least two one-time scholarships each year.* Scholarships are applied toward costs of attending an accredited college, university, or a vocational school.
These awards recognize students who have made unique and outstanding contributions to their school, and community, and who have exhibited personal and academic growth.
The criteria for selection is placed on academic and personal accomplishments, community involvement, and future professional goals. The applicant's financial need and family’s PTSA involvement is also considered in the application review.
The Apex High School PTSA Executive Board selects the scholarship recipients. Winners are announced at the Awards Day Ceremony before graduation. Checks are disbursed in the name of the student and the college.
